My, my, how time flies. I'm embarrassed to report that my database has stagnated for the last 6 months. However, I am pleased
to report that it is mainly due to SingStar Challenge going from strength to strength. In fact, SSC is currently in the process
of incorporating other music games into the site, such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Lips. You can image the amount of
extra data input that requires!
Anyway, early next month, SSC will be re-branding as Total Music Gaming
and you'll find them (and quite often me) over at http://www.totalmusicgaming.com/.
Hopefully, once all that fuss has died down, I'll be able to spend a couple of hours getting my house back in order.

SingStar Rocks (US) was missing from my previous batch. It has now been added. I have also added today's SingStore update
and the Britney Download Pack.
To provide an alternate route for harvesting the "missing" information for the database (song length, duets parts and
rap modes) I have made the Song Details pop-up editable (unless I've locked the record). Please feel free to update
any records that you see are wrong.

I've been co-operating with SingStar Challenge
and helping them with their song database. It's definitely becoming the place to be for SingStar fans.
They still need help though, as they use a fair bit of song information that isn't readily available in any
online catalogue. If you think you can help,
click here to pay them a visit.
Not wanting to rest on my laurels though, I am beginning to add non-UK offerings, starting with discs and
moving on to the stores.
Further Update:
I've loaded the US disc collections and added a Package Comparison tool which
will show you the similarities and differences between two packages.

Last night I discovered the SingStar Challenge website.
It's about forty-two times better than anything I had imagined when I first thought, "hey, it shouldn't be too hard
to let people log their high scores against the songs on here."

This is the first incarnation of the database. I made it for two reasons:
- Browsing and searching the SingStore is a nightmare.
- We often can't remember what disc a song is on (we have 9 of them).
So, shortly after Christmas I started putting a spreadsheet together. Not long after doing
this I thought, "Hang on. A database would be better than a spreadsheet." And then
nothing happened for a long time, until I finally got busy this weekend and put
everything together.
I think I'm up to date with the UK market offerings, which you can check out by
clicking on the 'Package List' links to the left. If you
know different, or have any other comments, feel free to
email me. All discs mentioned are
the UK ones and SingStore items are from the English language section.
Currently I have links in place to search YouTube for song previews, Amazon, iTunes and Play
for MP3s, and Amazon and Play for SingStar game discs. I know there are lots of others but this
was mainly intended as a 'proof of concept' and I'm starting to run out of space anyaway.
So there you have it. As well as any outstanding updates I may have missed, I'll be trying to sure the data's clean over the next few
days or weeks. Hopefully further updates will not be so major and thus not so onerous a task.
